Collection: Bella Bella Raven

Ǧvu̓í (raven) is a trickster and a great teacher of the people.  Raven is one of the four main clans of the Haíɫzaqv. In the great race, Raven won through trickery but is still considered the highest-ranking clan. Raven has brought many gifts to the people including the sun and herring.

This formline raven was created by Shirl Hall. It features the words Bella Bella, the modern-day name of the village of the Haíɫzaqv. Shirl is a member of the Haíɫzaqv First Nation and has lived among the people for over 50 years. She is originally Métis from Duck Lake, SK.
